9 Reasons to Say NO to Cosmetic Surgery

As we all know, wrinkles come into sight ahead of us noticing it. These unwanted lines and folds usually emerge on the face first, mainly on the eyes and the mouth areas as we gain age. There are many reasons that bring about the appearance of wrinkles and such are solar exposure, air pollution, insufficient vitamins, minerals and nutrients in the body, improper diet and smoking. The above lessens the levels of collagen and elastin which are the connective tissues of the skin, causing it to loosen thus producing wrinkles.

One is advised to follow a regular skin care regimen before wrinkles can even show up. The face should be washed for three times a day or as often as needed to take out the sweat and pollutants that might damage the pores. Natural sunscreen is very much recommended to guard the face from ultraviolet rays.

Drink water at least 8 glasses a day, eat the right kind of food avoid caffeine, alcohol and nicotine. Following these could bring back the natural moisture of your skin.

There are vitamins that can help in maintaining a youthful skin. The creams and lotions you use should have these elements to make it effective upon application:

Vitamin A is known prevents the skin from being rough because it puffs up the skin.

Vitamin C promotes the production of collagen and prevents dullness and dryness.

Vitamin E & Coenzyme Q10 shelters the skin from damage and improves blood flow. These are the antioxidants that are capable of protecting the skin from free radicals.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids or fruit acids remove dead skin cells to give way to new ones.

Whatever skin care or prevention, still wrinkles uncontrollably grow, first on the face and neck towards the other parts of the body. Then we think of other alternatives.

Men and women who are concerned of their looks find ways to combat these unwanted lines on the face. They have resorted to non surgical facelift, which is painless, safe, convenient and easy on the budget.

We have the botox injections, treatment, chemical peels, oils and creams, laser, anti wrinkle liquids, micro-current technology and dermabrasion – the most popular ones. Most of them bring small side effects like reddening of the skin, and blemishes, but are not very serious and can be controlled.

While it is true that non surgical measures are safe and easy, there are still others who are not satisfied with least results and choose cosmetic surgery. We think otherwise.

The 9 reasons why surgery is not the better option are:

1. Long time preparations for pre and post surgery are needed. You have to stay in a hospital which means added expense. Cosmetic surgery is not enclosed in your medical insurance.

2. Anesthetics can bring allergic reactions to patients.

3. Swelling and scarring are a result of surgery. Scars could be permanent depending on the patient and they could be much more unsightly than the wrinkles.

4. Excessive bleeding may cause hematoma, the swelling under the skin. The dangerous part of it is that you may have to undergo another operation to remove the blood clots and stop the bleeding.

5. Parts of the skin are damaged where excess skin is removed.

6. The face will become unfeeling because facial muscles are weakened.

7. It is expensive and is painful even with the aid of anesthesia. It’s the pain after the operation.

8. There are precautionary measures to follow – what not to eat, what you can’t do like strenuous activities.

9. One thing more, recovery takes time. It makes you stay in the hospital longer. From there, you still need more time to rest at home. Plus the fact that you have to take medicines for pain and some other antibiotics.

It looks like alarming to pick surgery over the non invasive procedures of facelift. The latter will save you time and money. Time, because a non surgical facelift takes about an hour. It saves you money, because you bring about lesser expenses than going under the surgeon’s knife, which could cost you a fortune.

Now, it is your choice.

The Key To Understanding Rhinoplasty

A perfect nose to fit your face may be something you long for when looking into the mirror. You may want to find the nearest rhinoplasty surgeon to come in and reshape the nose to your liking. However, the best surgeon in the world is only going to be able to shape the nose to the physical limitations of your face and the exisiting nose.

Rhinoplasty surgeons certainly earn their pay. If they make a mistake and screw up the surgery, the person could have a misshaped nose or have trouble breathing until the nose is fixed. This is due to the complex nature of the nose and the nasal structure.

Most people have unrealistic expectations as to the results of their rhinoplasty surgery. They see a nose on television on a beautiful face and decide that the same nose will make them just as beautiful. The results usually do not match up to their expectations and this leads to unhappiness on the part of the patient.

It will never look the same because the facial structure of the model/actor may not match correctly to the patients. A good rhinoplasty surgery will not be evident as it will blend perfectly into the facial structure of the person who received it. The best rhinoplasty surgery is one in which it is not apparent it was performed. A good example of this is Ashley Simpsons new nose.

Many of the aesthetic problems that people want changed, can be fixed by plastic surgeons easily. If your bridge is too wide or has a noticeable bump it can be shaved down to reduce the excess tissue. By shaving the bridge down, the surgeon can produce a nose that has a nice long, smooth shape.

The bigger problems for rhinoplasty surgeons come when patients have deviated septums or bridge problems where the structure is thin or cannot support the nose correctly.

Deviated septums have long bothered some noisy sleepers. What this problem does is to cause people to have difficulty breathing and the results will be slee apnea and loud snoring. This is because the deviated septum obstructs the intake and exhalation of air through the nasal cavity. To fix the problem, the surgeon will move the nasal structures so-as to allow the air to flow more freely through the nose.

If you research the rhinoplasty procedure and you establish realistic expectations which you and your surgeon agree upon, you will more than likely be happy with the outcome of your rhinoplasty surgery. In order to make sure you are completely happy, you should get a surgeon that is extremely qualified and will walk you through the process and manage your expectations.

Risks With Liposuction

Due to the seriousness of any cosmetic surgery procedure, liposuction treatment should not be taken lightly. Health experts have made it clear that liposuction is not a solution for weight loss and even as technological advancements have made liposuction a very safe procedure, surgery must be preceded carefully. The patient must be aware of the risks involved, precautionary practices, and the possible complications that come with liposuction.

Some of the most common undesired side effects of liposuction surgery include skin irregularities, hematomas and seromas, and hyper-pigmentations. These are are very possible consequences that patients need to be aware of.

Skin irregularities occur when too many of the fat cells are removed resulting in dimples and grooves in the skin. We all naturally have fat stores and areas that have too many fat cells will look abnormal. It’s always safer to have your surgeon remove too little fat in the first run and do touch up sessions. Once fat cells are taken out, they cannot be replaced.

Hematomas and seromas occur when red blood cells leak from damaged blood vessels and pool under the skin. This can be prevented through adequate drainage of the region around the incision. Others may experience hyper-pigmentation around the areas of incision. It can last for up to several years in severe cases or in patients who naturally have more pigment to their skin. Patients with fair skin can also experience this though it usually lasts less than four to six months.

A scary and more serious complication can also occur as a result of inadequate drainage during the procedure. It can cause swelling in the legs and ankles after a major liposuction treatment. The genitals can bruise after major treatment to the abdomen. This is blood tinges drainage and a common occurrence.

Patients are also advised to avoid caffeine or pinephrine-like drugs commonly found in cold medicines before the liposuction surgery. This is to avoid any unnecessary and excessive elevation of the heart rate when anesthesia is given. The chemical epinephrine is contained in most anesthetic solutions which increases heart rate.

There are very real possibilities of major complications although rare. Some of the more serious surgical risks are excessive blood loss, injury to internal organs, and risk of blood clots. Drug related complications comes from the use of anesthesia and can be anything from allergic reactions to cardiac arrhythmias to brain damage from the lack of oxygen.

Potential patients considering liposuction or any cosmetic surgery should learn the risks involved and find a surgeon with adequate recommendations. It’s never a good idea to let yourself get sold to some cheap gimmicky surgeon whose priority is anything but his patient.

Liposuction Risks

Due to the seriousness of any cosmetic surgery procedure, liposuction treatment should not be taken lightly. Health experts have made it clear that liposuction is not a solution for weight loss and even as technological advancements have made liposuction a very safe procedure, surgery must be preceded carefully. The patient must be aware of the risks involved, precautionary practices, and the possible complications that come with liposuction.

Most common complications are minor and usually are related to adverse reactions in the skin. These include skin irregularities, hematomas and seromas, and hyper-pigmentation. It’s important to be aware of these possible maladies effects of liposuction surgery.

If there are any accidental damage caused to blood vessels during the liposuction procedure, red blood cells could leak and form pools under the skin. This is the cause of the discoloration in the skin with hematomas and seromas. Proper procedures can be taken to avoid this problem by adequately draining the region around the incision. It is a temporary complication that can last for several years in severe cases. In other cases it usually will last less than four to six months.

More serious but temporary complications also include swelling of the legs and ankles when major areas are treated as well as bruising of genitals after major liposuction procedures to the abdomen. Blood tinged drainage is a common occurrence and should not be of concern to the patient although it is scary to some. Proper ‘clean up’ procedures such as adequate drainage will help to speed recovery.

The chemical epinephrine contained in some anesthetic solutions is known to cause an elevation in heart rate after the surgery. To safe guard against unecessary heart rate problems, patients are advised against the use of cold medication or any other epinephrine-like drug or caffeine in preparation days leading up to the surgery.

Major complications are rare but very real possibilities. They come in two forms, drug related or surgical. Drug related complications include allergic reactions, cardiac arrhythmias, and brain damage from lack of oxygen during anesthesia. Blood clots and excessive blood loss are surgical risks as well as possibly injury to internal organs during the procedure.

Anyone considering liposuction or any cosmetic surgery should do the homework and learn about both the risks and benefits of the treatment. Find a surgeon who makes patient health their top priority and never risk your life just to save a little money.

What is Teeth Whitening?

Your teeth are a very important feature of your appearance. Teeth whitening agencies realize this fact, which is why they are encouraging people to whiten their teeth, in order that they can look their best and in order that others will think their general appearance more appealing.

Whitening your teeth can also enhance your self confidence. Have you ever noticed those people who smile a lot even to strangers? Notice how easily they radiate warmth just by smiling that Hollywood smile. Sometimes, that smile becomes so catching that you find yourself smiling and feeling better for the rest of the day.

This is the reason why you have to perfect that smile so you can do it more often. One way of perfecting it is by whitening your teeth. In today’s world where beauty products and facial makeovers are commonplace, you see a lot of beautiful people. What you will always remember is the colour of their teeth.

You probably think that they are very fortunate to have been born with beautiful white teeth like that, but what you do not realize is that those teeth are the result of the whitening products and procedures that are available on the market today.

Over-the-counter teeth whitening products are not as dear as they used to be. This may be because of the stiff competition out there. With so many new products appearing practically everyday, it is no wonder that the prices are dropping so rapidly.

Take a good look at yourself in the mirror. Are your teeth as white as they used to be? Do you feel that they could be made even whiter? Are you one of those people that would benefit from having their teeth whitened?

To answer these questions, check out some of these considerations:

1. Methods for teeth whitening. The methods used for teeth whitening are on a case-to-case basis. For every individual, there is a method that will suit their different requirements. You can choose veneers instead of bleaching or teeth whitening. The best thing to do is to consult your dentist first about what should be done. Your dentist will be able to tell you what will be perfect for your requirements.

2. Smokers and caffeine-addicts. If you are one of those who like to take caffeinated drinks, then you are an ideal candidate for teeth whitening. This is the same for persons who smoke. The ingredients in caffeinated drinks can dull your teeth if you have been drinking caffeine for a long time. Tar and nicotine can also discolour teeth easily.

By having your teeth whitened or by using whitening toothpaste every day, you can lessen the effects that these items will have on your teeth. Continued, regular use will definitely help fight off the rapid discoloration of your teeth.

3. Sensitive teeth and gums. Your teeth and gums might not be able to tolerate the chemical contents of whitening products. If you think you have sensitive teeth, it is best to delay using whitening products until you have seen your dentist first.

If you have a sensitive mouth, but are still serious about having your teeth whitened, then you had better go for one of the professional treatments. Do not take the chance of trying out products that you can buy over the counter.

After you have mulled over all these things, then you will have a good idea if you are ready for that teeth whitening procedure. When it comes to your well being, it is always better to be safe than to be sorry.

Remove Unwanted Fat with Lipodissolve

Are you overweight in certain areas? Have you tried exercise, diet and more in order to get rid of unwanted fat from those certain unwanted fatty areas? Were you not successful, or perhaps successful but only for a very short time period?

If you answered yes to those questions, then I would suggest to look into and study lipodissolve as an option for you to loose that fat. Is lipodissolve the solve-all for your fat problems? Of course it is not, but it can be a great tool for you in getting rid of fat in those smaller hard spots that have been giving you problems the last several years.

What exactly is this relatively new procedure called lipodissolve? Well, without going into some very boring science explanation (which if you want I would suggest you do some quick research on the internet and you won’t have much of an issue. I just want to concentrate on some other issues for this article), lipo is a mixture of different chemicals that are injected directly into the problem and unwanted areas of fat which then dissolves the fat.

My main goal with this article is not to explain the science, but instead to help you become aware of this new, great treatment, become aware that this treatment is relatively cheaper than liposuctions, and that you cannot underestimate the benefits you have by sitting down with your own physician and going over the advantages and costs of lipodissolve. They are the ones who will be able to guide you and help you make a wise decision.

Lipodissolve has some big advantages over liposuction, with the obvious advantage being cost. However, depending on what your goals are, you may or may not be a good candidate for the procedure. An important aspect to consider is the fact that lipodissolve is primarily used on smaller parts of your body-i.e. not on the really big parts of fat. If you just want a few touch ups, then you may want to consider lipodissolve over liposuction.

On different aspect of liposuction, however, is that liposuction is a procedure that the FDA approves of. Of course, liposuction has been around for much longer time periods, so this does not necessarly mean you should not consider lipodissolve. Letme be clear-this does not mean the procedure is more risky or less risky than traditional liposuction, it only means the FDA has not made an opinion or perhaps have not conducted there tests yet. The substance is not banned.

However, for this reason I think it is especially important for you to talk with your own trusted doctor before you decide to undergo any lipodissolve treatments. You are invariably wanting to do this procedure for lasting effects, so you obviously want those effects to be positive and not negative. Speaking with your physician and going over all the possibilities will help you accomplish this goal. Remember, you want to always feel 100 percent secure in your decisions when it comes to your body and your health.

I hope this helps you in your decision regarding lipodissolve. There are many benefits to be had with the procedure, just make sure you know what you are doing. And, as always, do you own research before making any final decisions.
