The Advantages of Using a Golf Cart Instead Of Walking

There are many advantages to using a golf cart rather than walking between holes on the course. But, properly using one without bothering other golfers can be a challenge. Let’s examine some of the many benefits of using a cart, and how to be considerate when using one.

The most obvious advantage of using a cart is that you won’t have to walk. Courses can be very large, and walkers who have to carry their golf bags will soon become tired, even if they’re in good shape. A golf cart prevents this. In addition, you can carry more with you if you choose to use a cart.

You’ll also stay sheltered from poor weather. If you walk when it’s more than 80 degrees or so outside, you’ll find that you quickly become tired and overheated in the sweltering weather. But if you take a cart along with plenty of fluids to keep you hydrated, you’ll avoid sapping your energy from excessive heat. Driving a golf cart will help you avoid heat exhaustion on the summer, and will keep you dry in the pouring spring and fall rains.

It’s important to remember that if you don’t drive a cart very often, you’re likely to have difficulties remembering when to move it, and you may not know how to drive it properly. If you end up running back and forth multiple times, other golfers may be annoyed to have you underfoot. If you don’t know how to use the cart politely, it may be more trouble than it’s worth.

Be extra careful when driving on wet grass or soggy ground. If the ground is overly saturated or muddy, avoid the area. Be aware that most courses will not allow you to drive on the rough; this minimizes the wear and tear on the course. If your partner is old enough to drive and is in the driver’s seat, you should assume he or she will drive.

Talk to your partner about who will move the cart. That keeps you from leaving it behind and having to walk back for it. Remember that you should return to the cart path when approaching the green, and bring all appropriate clubs with you when walking to it. Be willing to bring your partner a club if needed. Remember to ask him or her if a rest stop is needed when facilities are nearby.

Plan where you’re going to place the cart in advance, and make sure you park it where it can provide shade if no other source of shade is available. When you’re driving and your partner’s ball is next in play, pull up on the right side of the ball, with the ball placed midway down the length of the cart. That gives your partner a short distance to cover.

Never drive your cart while other players are hitting, and make sure not to move in front of them. When parking near the green, park the cart on the side where you’ll walk off the green. When the ball is on the side or top of a hill, park nearby, but don’t drive on the hill, as this can be dangerous.

Estimate how far it is to the green by reading the distance or making note of landmarks, like bushes and other landscape features. Estimate how far you are likely to send the ball. If you don’t know which club you’ll need, bring more than one so you want have to walk back to the cart multiple times.

The Best of Breckenridge for Golfers

What is it like playing in a 27-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus? You wouldnt know unless you have played at the Breckenridge Golf Club in Summit County. The championship course started in 1985 with 18 holes. After it proved to be successful, the town decided to add nine holes, still designed by Jack Nicklaus. The new 9-hole course is called The Elks Nine and its players enjoy the highest part of the Breckenridge Golf Club as well as a very good view of the magnificent mountains and the elks.

The Honors

That Breckenridge Golf Club is the foremost golf course to visit whenever you are in Colorado is supported by the ratings, recognitions that it gets from both national and local organizations. For example, it was recognized twice by Colorado Golfer- as Best Mountain Course then as Toughest Mountain Course. Another publication, Golf Digest gave it 4-1/2 stars in its Places to Play guide, and identified it as one of the countrys Upscale Places to Play.

Course Characteristics

The High-Altitude Game

What reasons give this course its edge other than its Jack Nicklaus design? There is always a stamp of superiority in Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses. But the Breckenridge Golf Club offers more than the prestige of its designer, such as playing at almost 10,000 feet over the sea level. At that elevation, lower pull of gravity and lower air resistance propel your ball higher and with more accuracy to the target spot than when you are at lower elevations. Golfers know what those conditions do to their scores.

Great Golf Weather

Temperatures at higher elevations are much cooler compared to those at lower elevations. Golfers love cool temperatures because they dont sweat that much even if they stay long in the courses, walking from one hole to another hole. If its summer, the temperature is leaning towards the 70s range, sometimes 80 degrees but it seldom happens. During spring and fall, have your jacket on and you can stay in the golf course for hours.

Demanding Terrain

Even the experts find the course a challenge (Since Jack Nicklaus is the designer, what do you expect?). There are four teeing points. Pick your course according to your level of skills- from the Easiest which include less obstacles to the Experts terrain which include more obstacles and difficult terrains.

The Backdrop

Possibly, the finest windfall of choosing to play golf in Breckenridge is the breathtaking vista that you see anywhere you turn. If you happen to be seeing Bear Nine, you are also viewing a historic spot as that was where the miners searching for gold in Breckenridge used to have their tent city. The golf course also presents a good view of natures beauty through the native grass and the wetlands as well as overviews of the Ten-Mile Range as well as the Breckenridge Ski Resort. In Beaver Nine, youll see the masses of rock piles that were left behind by the miners. The beaver ponds actually add to the difficulties of the nearby holes. Dont let the beavers add to your frustration, if you are. Look at the Buffalo Mountain and its beauty will ease out some of that frustration. The golfers at Elk Nine are privileged with the most extensive scenery that includes Breckenridges Ten-Mile Range, the lush greenery and a lake. The lake and the bushes raise the difficulty level of the course but at the same time offer their breathtaking beauty to the golfers.

Breckenridge is no doubt a delight to its golfers. To maximize your time in the golf course, it will be very convenient for you if you book a Breckenridge condo or a vacation home nearby. The combination of comfortable weather in a top-ranked golf course plus a splendid view of nature at its best is where any golfer would wish to be.

Biomechanics of a Golf Swing – The Secrets To a Perfect Golf Swing

The biomechanics of a golf swing is a very hot subject within the golf industry. There are countless books that have been written about it. These books break down every little detail of the golf swing step by step. This could be a good thing but these books are so boring that reading them can put you to sleep fast.

The fact that you are reading this tells me that there is a problem with your swing that you are looking to correct. Figuring out the problem within your swing mechanics is not always an easy thing to do. There could be several problem areas depending on whether you slice the ball, have a hook, or top the ball. All of these things can add a lot of strokes to your golf game. Luckily, I am here to help you with this.

Most Biomechanic Golf Swing Books Have a Major Problem….

The majority of the golf swing books on the market have the same problem in common. They usually take a professional golf swing, such as Tiger Woods’ swing, and break it down step by step. So, what is wrong with that? Tiger is a great golfer, why shouldn’t we study his golf swing?

YES!!! Tiger Woods has an incredible golf swing. Unfortunately, I will NEVER be able to swing a golf club like Tiger Woods and neither will you. I know, it’s a hard fact to face but it is true. Tiger wrote a book titled “How I Play Golf”. Within the book he talks more about course management and how to get out of tough situations rather than the mechanics of his golf swing. Why is this? Because Tiger Woods knows that the average golfer would not benefit from reading about the biomechanics of Tiger’s swing. They have no chance of copying it.

The Biomechanics of a Golf Swing:

So What Should We Do Now? Ok, hopefully we agree that we will never have a golf swing like a Tiger Woods. So what should we do now? Are we forever stuck slicing, hooking and topping the ball everytime that we play? Of course not, there is an easier answer. Instead of getting really technical, the biomechanics of a golf swing should be simple and easy to perform. There simply needs to be common positions in your swing that are CONSISTENT every time. This will give you the straight shots and distance you are looking for.

What we need is a simple golf swing. One that we can repeat without any thought or conscious effort. We need to make sure that we don’t over-complicate the golf swing. The setup, backswing, and impact are the only things we need to focus on. Anything else is just excessive.

The Simple Golf Swing breaks down the golf swing into 5 steps. Each step is simple to learn and builds onto the next. This system will have you hitting the ball farther and scoring better than you ever have. To learn more about the Simple Golf Swing visit the links I have below:

You want to be capable to trust that you won’t kill your playing collaborators with a shank. You want to trust that you won’t look like a fool ahead of your buddies, wives, or girlfriends. I’m certain there are a lot of dissimilar scenarios that I may fetch up that could serve as an illustration. What is plainly, golfers need to trust their swing on all occasions.

Now, let me ask you many questions. So, you say that you may hit the ball well off of the tee box. Are you competent to achieve this feat every, single time? Does your ball land in approximately the area that you intended it to go, on the fairway? Or, does your ball slice off into the rough more oftentimes than you want it to? Sure, there was that one time during a weekend match with your friends. On that one principal hole late in the round, you were capable to hit the ball close to 300 yards off of the tee. But, unluckily your tee shot got buried in that nasty fairway bunker. You just kissed a potential birdie good-bye. And with it, the opportunity to win numerous cash with that bet you made before the round started out.

Here’s the main problem in regards to an amateur’s golf swing. When using the body the right way in relevance to how a golf swing is carried out, the spine must act as the axis all around the entire process. Here’s golfers at the amateur level don’t use their spine correctly. Because this is not done, the essence lower half of their bodies don’t rotate decently as the golf swing is enacted. Here is why Here’s non-professional golfers lack consistency and distance control whether they’re on the golfing range, competing in rounds with their friends, or in amateur tournaments.

After gripping the club decently, then the art of swinging follows. This is where most golf swing tips would genuinely focus on. Though, don’t let your backswing be the cause why your golf swing failed. When you get the backswing right, probabilities are, you’ll get the downswing right, too. The principal reason why beginners fail with their backswing is because they have a tendency or disposition to lift the club when they aren’t supposed to. Just hold it and swing it backwards. As you carry out the swing, remember to twist your body in accordance with the angle of your backswing. This assists you channel the force directly to your club expeditiously.

When you want to mend a golf slice consider in detail your stance.

Basic Golfing Tips for Beginners: 4

We have all the seen the fantastically long, but very accurate drives of Tiger Woods. When he hits the ball, it sails through the air and lands smack in the middle of the fairway, some 300 yards away.

It is difficult not to let jealousy rise in us as we wonder if we could ever dare to hope to drive like that. Luckily, long drives are not the crux of the game of golf.

This where the “short game” comes in because without reasonable short game skills, those great long drives will have been wasted.

We call the ’short game’ those shots that get you onto the green from roughly a hundred feet away from the hole, no matter whether it’s from the fairway, a bunker, the rough or a drop zone. It includes all chips, sand shots and pitches.

In this middle stage of the game, you use the higher numbered clubs, your pitching iron and sand wedge or lob wedge more often.

You will find practice areas on most golf courses. You really must spend some time working on hitting the ball onto the green from various distances. Try to hit a ten-foot circle in the centre of the green at first. Experiment using your wedges, but remember that what works well for one person, might not work so well for you and your particular swing.

When you can perform this skill fairly consistently, it is about time to start practising how to get out of a sand bunker. Being able to get the ball out of a bunker can really cut your score quite dramatically and it is very frustrating if you can’t do it.

The way to do it is to plant your feet firmly in the sand with your left foot turned to face the hole. See an imaginary 4-inch circle around the ball and try to hit the outer edge of that circle.

Kick up lots of sand with the ball and swing completely through as normal. Don’t slow down the swing at all when or after you hit the ball. It should jump up onto the green and stop almost dead. This doesn’t work very well though unless the sand is soft and dry. On hard, compacted surfaces, you might need to avoid actually hitting the sand all together.

As in all aspects of golf, only practice will help you to improve.
